Hi I’m Birdie, from the southwest in Tucson AZ. The mecca of gem and mineral trading. Growing up in a town deemed the worlds largest gem show it’s no surprise I become a Silversmith. I began my silversmith journey in 2014 after struggling with postpartum depression. The birth of my first son led me to search for a creative outlet. I dabbled in the world of jewelry making and quickly picked up the torch and taught myself the basics. A Bench wench, Silversmith, a Lady of smith & fire, called it what you want. I fell in love with metalwork. Creating art with precious metals, stones, and minerals just felt natural. It heals my woes and channels my artistic soul. I can only hope my work coveys the light this beautiful craft has given me.
